The South African (SA) framework on AI recognises that AI can assist in economic growth, creating access to AI benefits, and solve the imbalances created by colonialism and apartheid. Why and how can AI address the inequalities and economic growth while the government has failed to do so. This is pure hallucinations. Where are the AI skills in SA?
Majority of South Africans, mostly in rural areas and townships do not have an idea of what is internet, or MS Softwares packages. They do not have access to or to even have an opportunity to just touch a computer, a printer, or a laptop. How will South Africans benefit from AI while majority of them do not even have access to smart cellphones. Majority of people do not have access to quality network coverage in villages that are deep in the rural areas. AI requires a human touch, skills, and the will from government as human beings to create economic growth and the reduction of inequalities, poverty, and unemployment. AI is not a magic silver bullet. This article does not see ordinary and poor South African’s benefiting from AI, at all.
The SA’s framework on AI alludes that SA will be the world leader on AI. SA does even have a wristwatch that it has developed to the world, except our minerals that are being stolen by global capitalists to the detriment of the SA’s economy. SA’s framework on AI is a ruse.
SA GOVERNMENT DOES NOT HAVE A PLAN FOR AI EXPERTS’ PREDICTIONS
- The experts indicate that AI will become a threat to call centre workers jobs in few years’ times. AI will reduce human skills at call centres.
- AI will reduce the human labour costs by $80 billion (R1.55 billion) by 2026 at call centres.
- AI will displace many teachers and medical health workers in ten years’ time.
- AI will produce AI degrees from academic dishonesty using AI softwares.
- The “god father” of AI (Geoffrey Hinton) has predicted that an advanced AI technologies will displace universities and colleges soon. This will be the worst-case scenario for SA.
- But universities and colleges may be needed for research and apprenticeship.
- What happens when advanced AI develops human emotions in such that it can automatically start nuclear wars and send chemicals drones all over the world and destroy nations.
- What happens if AI crashes the banking systems of the banks like the Reserve Bank, Johannesburg Stock Exchange, and other private banks.
- What happens if AI start nuclear war with its own emotions of anger and hatred based on Elon Musk (A racist to the core).
- What happens if AI develops emotions of Donad Trump, Sadam Hussein, Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, Hosni Mubarak, Muamar Gadhafi, Paul Kagame, Mabuto Seseko, PW Botha, Hendrick Verwoed, ad infinitum.
- IS our SA’s Defence ready for AI advanced induced nuclear wars or chemical warfare drones?
