Former apartheid homeland leaders did not want to be led by the so-called prisoners from Robben Island, like Nelson Mandela and many others. With all said and done, the writer assumed that their fears are clear in the face of the death and decay of the democratic state. Maladministration, malfeasance, crony capitalism, corruption, collapsed state institutions, and infiltration of the criminal justice system by the comrade Tsotsis and corrupt government officials currently characterise the democratic state they feared.
It is a hard and bitter pill to swallow that former apartheid homeland leaders had warned us about the African National Congress and other progressive forces of our liberation. The difficult and uncomfortable truth and warning issued by Lucas Mangope, Mangosuthu Buthelezi, Oupa Gqozo, and Hudson Ntsanwisi before the 1994 democratic elections. Their warning was not entirely without merit, as we reflect on the current state of our country.
It must be better understood that their intentions were compromised and complicated by their support for the apartheid and homeland systems. They had their misgivings about the government of the people, by the people. Their warnings were centred on their prospective loss of political hegemony and power. The truth is here today, the democratic state is now a cartel and a criminal enterprise under the ANC (Mandela, Mbeki, Zuma, and Ramaphosa).
The fears of former homeland leaders became tragically real, and the real supporters of the fight for freedom are bitten. Apartheid agents warned us, but we were too excited to listen to genuine warnings. The ANC’s post-apartheid state is riddled with criminal and corrupt political machinery. Our country is riddled with:
- The birth of tender mafias.
- Political patronage networks
- The lust for looting state resources.
- The collapse of state-owned enterprises and other institutions.
- The use of crime intelligence for criminal activities and political wars.
- Political killings in KZN and EC.
- The collapse of municipalities, except for some in the WC province.
- Current and former premiers with fake or stolen degrees
The State Capture Commission and the Madlanga Commission are proof of the collapsed state and the rot of what the ANC is today. The ANC is a cartelised criminal political party. It is like the Mexican or Colombian drug cartels. It is no longer a revolution and the leader of the society; it is now the shadow of its former self. The former glorious movement is now a gangsters’ paradise and a crime scene.

They analysed and predicted it right. It is sad that it happened and worsened when they are gone.
There greediness and lack of compassion to the fellow citizens is the greatest sickness.
May we fight 💪 with our votes and God help our country.
